Can't access cPanel

December 12, 2013     0 comments

jHost has two administration panels.  During setup, you configured your billing username and password.  Your cPanel is a whole other thing.

Your billing account admin ( allows you to change/review your account settings, billing information, order more products or services, and view your account history.  To access the billing admin:

  1. Go to: and click "Login"
  2. Enter the username and password you setup during registration
  3. Click "Login"
Ok, what about cPanel?!

Glad you asked.  cPanel is used to setup email address, FTP accounts, SQL databases and more.  Your username and password for your cPanel are created automatically once your account has been activated.  Account activation is usually automatic, however, jHost admins may have to activate it for you in rare circumstances.  This process should only take a few hours during business hours (M-F).

How do I find my cPanel Username/Password?

You should receive a welcome email once your account and cPanel are active.  If all else fails, your billing admin is the place to start.
  1.  Just login to (or click "Account")
  2. Click "Login" at the top
  3. Enter your username & password
  4. Once logged in, click "Package"
  5. Click the name of your hosting package
  6. Click "Hosting Account" (last tab on the left)

Here, you'll see your server name (probably "jHost1").  Half way down, you'll see your cPanel User Name and Password.

Copy those down somewhere safe (an encrypted file is ideal).  Head over to and use THOSE credentials to login to your cPanel.

If you want to get fancy, you can also access your cPanel by going to, where "" is your domain name.

If you have any trouble, please submit a support ticket.
